With the financial assistance from the Canada Fund for Local Initiative (CLI), FCD is embarking on an 8 month project to promote a dialogue and support between hotspot communities along the Belize-Guatemala Adjacency Zone whilst fomenting confidence building and reducing the incidences of forest fires. Annually the threats of cross border fires into Belize’s Chiquibul-Maya Mountains exist, therefore it is expected that with an improved collaboration those probabilities can be reduced.
