The second civilian linkup was held with community members of San Jose Las Flores nearby the village of La Rejoya, Peten, Guatemala. The purpose of these sessions have been to establish a dialogue and build support for the prevention of forest fires 
among Guatemalan neighboring communities to the Chiquibul National Park. Participants from Belize included FCD, Forest Department, BDF and NBio. This activity was made possible through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives.
