FCD’s Karst Management Unit is responsible for the documentation and inventory of the cultural and natural features of the Chiquibul Cave System. The final block of inventory has been completed, bringing a total of 324 cultural and natural features documented. The information gathered is being submitted to the Institute of Archaeology, to aid in better managing this extensive system of caves. The aim is now to broaden the cultural inventory across the Chiquibul National Park.
