On the 5th of September, FCD’s Environmental Educator Mr. Justin Pook held meetings to introduce the multi-institutional project titled: “Integrated Management of Production Landscape to deliver Multiple Global Environmental Benefits” to the leaders of Valley of Peace, and Bermudian Landing, Willows Bank, Flowers Bank, Double Head Cabbage, Isabella Bank. The following day, a site visit was conducted to learn more of the community dynamics, river conditions and project developments in the Belize River Valley. FCD is thankful to the Community Baboon Sanctuary/CBS Women’s Conservation Group for their support. This project is led by the Ministry of Sustainable Dev. Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management and financed through the UNDP-GEF.
